State Access
Sweepstakes promotions sit outside gambling licensing, so access is decided operator by operator rather than by one national rule.
The Broad Picture
Most states are open to the operators on this page. The exclusions are narrow but real, and they are inconsistent: two operators can reach opposite conclusions about the same state.
Excluded almost everywhere
Washington and Idaho, whose promotional statutes are strict enough that operators in this market generally decline players from either.
Excluded by some
Michigan, Nevada, Montana and Connecticut appear on certain exclusion lists and not others, usually as a compliance decision.
Age
Eighteen at most operators, twenty-one at some, twenty-one in specific states at others. It is checked against documents, so a false date at signup only blocks a payout later.
Presence, not paperwork
Operators verify where you actually are. VPNs and out-of-state addresses breach the terms, and that usually surfaces at redemption, after the balance is built.
Two Lists
Protects a payout
- Real name, address and state from the start
- Verification finished before playing
- One account per person per operator
- Reading the operator exclusion list first
Voids a payout
- A VPN or proxy connection
- Registering from an address you do not live at
- A second account for a second welcome offer
- Sharing an account with anyone
